Synopsis:
The heart-pounding sequel to Cast in Firelight, perfect for fans of epic, sweepingly romantic fantasy by Sabaa Tahir, Susan Dennard, and Mary E. Pearson.
After a magical eruption devastates the kingdom of Belwar, royal heir Adraa is falsely accused of masterminding the destruction and forced to stand trial in front of her people, who see her as a monster. Adraa’s punishment? Imprisonment in the Dome, an impenetrable, magic-infused fortress filled with Belwar’s nastiest criminals—many of whom Adraa put there herself. And they want her to pay.
Jatin, the royal heir to Naupure, has been Adraa’s betrothed, nemesis, and fellow masked vigilante . . . but now he’s just a boy waiting to ask her the biggest question of their lives. First, though, he’s going to have to do the impossible: break Adraa out of the Dome. And he won’t be able to do it without help from the unlikeliest of sources—a girl from his past with a secret that could put them all at risk.
Time is running out, and the horrors Adraa faces in the Dome are second only to the plot to destabilize and destroy their kingdoms. But Adraa and Jatin have saved the world once already. . . . Now, can they save themselves?

My Review:
This book was a roller coaster! I'm so surprised that not many people know of this amazing series!
➳ The writing in this book is definitely better than the last book's and it was easy to understand, exactly what everyone prefers.
➳ From the very first book I found that the world-building was very intricate and interesting. The magic system was such a strong suit for this series because it was unique and so original. This book is highly entrancing and did not let my attention waver for even a second! It is also immensely action-packed and it doesn't feel like the author is trying to add interest, it was all natural. I loved loved the plot of bringing justice and righting all wrongs, just splendid!
➳ Okay, one thing I absolutely loved was the familial relationships. If you know me, you'd know I adore those! We need more warm and caring parents as shown in this book and it filled this hole in my heart I didn't know was there. Adraa's relationship with her sister, Prisha, was so heart-warming and I definitely adored them both way more because of that. The vast cast of characters is something I undoubtedly loved because many authors focus only on the MCs and that is sometimes annoying and that's why I loved Dana's approach. We got to read more of some characters introduced in the first book and some in this book. Really loved Adraa, the definition of a strong female lead! I was saving the best for last so here it is: I loved Jatin way much than I liked him in the first book because he is warm, sweet an his love for Adraa is palpable. in other words, he's loyal.😉
➳ In short, I adored this book and it's characters to the point that I was thinking about this book long after I finished it. Bound By Firelight is a must-read for all YA fantasy lovers!
