Dreams Lie Beneath Review
It's time to review one of my fave books of 2021 which is the above book. Rebecca Ross is one of my auto-buy authors and every time I read her book, she DELIVERS! I was beyond happy when I received an ARC from NetGalley saying my request to review Dreams had been accepted.
➳ Rebecca's exquisite writing style is a joy to behold! Utterly captivating and engrossing that does not let your attention steer. With enrapturing imagery, it was impossible not to love this wondrous book!
➳ The intricate world building and entrancing magic system is the main attribute of this book that adds to the atmospheric book. The magic system was unique and so distinctive that it had me yearning for more. This book has a gripping storyline and an absorbing world, entirely original, that will entrance readers from start to finish not to mention the amount of stirring quotes. One would be:
“But sometimes things must break before they can be made whole again, so that they can be forged into something stronger.”
➳ The characters are such that I certainly will not be forgetting them. Some were arrogant, greedy, selfish and some were even two faced but they were portrayed accurately and were so genuine. The relationships rendered were so touching and moving. I absolutely prefer friendship above all else and while this book had romance I don't think the friendships were put aside. Certainly, adored that. Also, the familial relationships were so pure and warm. I loved that aspect more than anything else. The things that make a family, a family. The thing to not miss is that this book has the enemies to lovers trope it is in no way toxic. Phelan is such a warm and cute character!
➳ Also, that cover!😍 I think it is safe to say after all those strong points that you should definitely read this entrancing story which has everything you didn't know was missing from your life!😉 And of course, it was impossible to not give this atmospheric, magical and whimsical story a 5 stars!
